For this course, you will be learning about the more distant Universe.


There are 5 labs in A101. Below outlines the typical order.

Lab 1: Spectral Lab - you look at the spectrum of gases and the Sun

            This is in room A111 in the Bob Wright Building.

            Note: this is Lab 4 in the manual (we don’t go in order).


Lab 2: Palomar Lab - you’re going to examine distant nebulae and galaxies

            This is in room A111 in the Bob Wright Building.

Lab 3: CMD Lab - you look at the star clusters and their properties
