Details
- Images 765188-195 and 765196-203 copied from CFHT ftp site (set up there by I think
Remi). Note that set1 were of a field with the dome in one orientation, and set 2 in the
perpendicular orientation. For each set, the first 4 images are cut on one side of the
dome, followed by 4 images using the other side of the dome slit. The data is raw data.
There was some frost in the first set on the window. Focus was done befor ethe start
of set 1 (not for set 2, IQ is worse).
- Images copied to /sraid3/pritchet/domehartmann. (Some processing was done in
/pel5/pritchet/LS/DomeHartmann, but the results were copied back to the /sraid3 disk.)
- Ran SExtractor by using ~/LS/Progs/priq/fwhmloop_mef.sex on each image. Output goes
to files of the form 7651NNo.rxymagfwhm.sex
- Also ran fwhmloop_mef.iso (which was specially developed for this purpose). Results
were hardly any different so we'll stick with the .sex output for now.
- Script 'compare2' was used to (i) strip off the first column of data (which was the
radius, not used, plus it interferes with the next step); and (ii) run xymrgline using
the command "xymrgline 5.0 file1 file2 4 > outputfile". The "4" discards unmatched lines
on unit 4. Note that everything coming out of fwhmloop is in arcsec! The output is in files
of the form 198+199.match. This was run on every adjacent pair of files in each set.
- gif plots were initially created (colour-coded for each row) using pgcmd pgr + some
additional arguments. I decided to go to a fortran program to do this because the program was
able to take out the median offset in each dimension and use a fixed size for the area of
the plot.
- movies were created using "convert -delay 100 -loop 100 *+*.match.gif movie.gif"
That's it. In the future, should make the symbols quite a bit smaller so that symbols
don't hide each.
