The five questions astronomers get asked most often in bars

About the talk

Astronomers who like to drink get asked a lot of questions in bars. Here are the top five:

1. Since the Big Bang created the Universe, what was happening before the Big Bang?
2. If the Universe is expanding, what is it expanding into?
3. If the Universe is expanding, then am I getting bigger?
4. Where did the Big Bang occur?
5. How do I know you're not totally full of "crap" when answering these questions?

I can give you a pretty good answer to 3.5 of these 5... to find out out which, come to Café Scientifique
