I am a postdoctoral researcher the Argelander-Institut f\u00fcr Astronomie (AIfA) at the University of Bonn. I completed my MSc and PhD at the University of Victoria. I investigate how galaxies change when they experience an interaction with another galaxy, or when they merge into one. Galaxy mergers last much<\/em> longer than any human lifetime, so I utilize large astronomical surveys to collect galaxies at different stages of an interaction event. My current research focuses on the kpc-scale changes in star-formation and molecular gas induced by major interactions, using a combination of observations from the Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA) and\u00a0the Mapping Nearby Galaxies at Apache Point Observatory (MaNGA) survey (for finer details, see my Research<\/a>\u00a0page).<\/p>\n

I am also a strong advocate for scientific literacy and astronomy outreach, as well as an avid knitter and bibliophile.<\/p>\n
