Mythological gods
ZEUS
Zeus is a popular figure in Greek Mythology. Commonly known as the King
of the gods, Zeus was allotted the dominion of the sky after having waged
war against Cronos (his father) and the Titans. He ruled on Mount Olympus
along with his wife Hera, the Queen of the gods. Zeus' liasons with women
other than his wife were legendary. One of the many children he sired was
Hercules, a son he fathered with Alcmene.

APOLLO
Apollo, yet another figure in Greek Mythology, is the son of Zeus but not
the son of Hera. Yes, I think you know what I'm getting at, Apollo was
the product of yet another affair Zeus had with Leto, daughter of Coeus
and Phoebe I, the Titans.
Apollo was the god of music and poetry and all kinds of inspired arts.
He was known to have some ability to heal, having probably assimilated
the role of an earlier healing deity. He was also sometimes an aggressive
archer, particularly in concert with his sister, Artemis (Virgin Huntress).

THOR
Viking is the name given to seafarers of Scandinavian origin. The saga
of Eric the Red, 1320, tells of the voyage of Eric from Iceland to Greenland
and of his son Leif's voyage to what must have been North America at least
500 years before Columbus. The Vikings conquered and settled in the
Hebrides, Orkneys, Shetlands and Faroes, made many raids on the British
Isles and the shores of Europe, and colonized the coast of France. They
made Iceland a republic in 930 A.D. and established a parl, which is still
in existence.
Their principal gods were Thor and Odin; Honour, Courtesy and Hospitality
were paramount virtues; Poetry, Music and Literature were the chief creative
arts.
