even when I am away. Short questions and comments may also be addressed by

- Textbook: None in particular, since we will
be following mostly our own notes. Good recent textbooks include
"Physical Cosmology" by P.J.E.Peebles,
"Cosmology" by P.Coles and F.Lucchin, "Structure Formation in the
Universe" by T. Padmanabhan,
"Cosmological Physics" by J.A.Peacock,
"Galaxy Formation" By M.S.Longair, and
“Galaxy Formation and Evolution” by Mo, van den Bosch & White. Many of
the basics can also be found in the classic book "Gravitation and
Cosmology" by S.Weinberg.
- Course Level: Differential and Integral Calculus, including
complex variables and partial differential equations. Good Physics and
Astronomy Background, including a working knowledge of General Relativity.
- Course Content: Please take the references below as
indicative. Some material may be presented in abbreviated form or explored
in more detail during the lectures. Attendance to lectures is not
essential but recommended
- Marks: There will be assignments and a research topic.
- Assignments (50%) and Research Topic (25%),
Presentation (25%).
